The “Church of Quantum Interconnectedness” is a new religious organization started by (of course) Californian artist, Corey Smilth . This faux new-age inspired religion is based on his sculptural piece called the “Personal Pyramid” a healing device in which participants are invited to interact with. They are given only one instruction; the Personal Pyramid slogan “Let the Healing Begin”. It works especially well if you like green. And asymmetrical bathing suits.

ps- this post is only categorized as “art” with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek, thank you very much.
pss- I do like the name though, but only because interconnected is my current favorite word.

Throughout the 1950’s, 60’s, and early 70’s, Ralph Eugene Meatyard created a series of photographs titled “The Family Album of Lucybelle Crater” in which he photographed his wife wearing an old hag’s mask in the role of Lucybelle Crater, along with other Meatyard family members and friends who are also wearing masks. The resulting images are both comical and grotesque with an underlying strangeness that is visually intriguing.
