Everything about this seems amazing to me.  Harvard has a library comprised solely of the rarest of the rare colors and pigments.

The history of pigments goes back to prehistoric times, but much of what we know about how they relate to the art world comes from Edward Forbes, a historian and director of the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University from 1909 to 1944. Considered the father of art conservation in the United States, Forbes traveled around the world amassing pigments in order to authenticate classical Italian paintings. Over the years, the Forbes Pigment Collection—as his collection came to be known—grew to more than 2,500 different specimens, each with its own layered backstory on its origin, production, and use.

“Joel Strong, a locations scout and talent manager based in the city. Armed with various Leo cut-outs, clipped from books and magazines, and his smartphone, Strong takes to the streets, manually superimposing little Leos from different stages of the actor’s career into everyday settings. The results are hilarious, and are uploaded for Instagrammers’ delectation to Strong’s account, @mydaywithleo. A Man in the Iron Mask Leo tops the body of a casual scooterer; a smouldering Romeo Leo hangs out in the subway; a grandma finds her head replaced by a baby-faced This Boy’s Life Leo; wherever Strong lays his Leos, magic occurs. “

My Friend Natty…

makes awesome art. Not serious art, more like outsider art, which I suppose you could call her an outsider artist since she has had no training. She just makes stuff to make stuff because she loves the process. The great thing about her stuff is how funny it is. Natty (who is a musician ) can pretty much command hundreds if not thousands of people without even thinking about it. She is a 5 foot tall bundle of red haired energy. I kinda love everything about her. One of my favorite things though, are her affirmation mirrors. (and now her birdhouses:)

Artist Drops Paint-Filled Eggs From Her Vagina To Create Art…

We can place this under WTF…

Check out the video HERE.

Milo Moire is a German artist who has an unconventional way of painting—instead of using a paintbrush, she literally gives birth to her artwork by pushing paint-filled eggs out from her vagina.Titled ‘PlopEgg’, Moire performed the demonstration at the opening of the 2014 Art Cologne fair.Standing on an elevated platform, she ‘gives birth’ to the eggs and drops them on a canvas underneath her, creating an abstract painting.

After all the eggs have been pushed out, she folds the canvas, creating a “symmetrically reflected picture”.

According to Moire, her performance embodies the “symbolic strength of the casual and the creative power of the femininity”.

Sounds familiar doesn’t it???
